1а) From the product website:

Guardant SDK is available for free downloading from Aktiv Company website: http://www.guardant.com/support/download/

Download and unpack the Guardant SDK archive, than Launch Setup.exe.

1b) From the original Guardant CD:

Insert the Guardant installation disk into the CD drive. The Guardant software installation wizard will start automatically. (If the automatic launch is disabled, please run the AutoRun.exe file from the root directory of the Guardant installation disk). In the pop-up window select Install the Developer’s Kit. 

1c) From any other storage device:

Choose the directory containing the Guardant SDK and launch Setup.exe.

 

2) Then, follow the installation wizard’s instructions to perform the following:

  • Define the folders for installing the Guardant software and installation options
  • Enter access codes and the check number (in case of demo Developer’s Kit simply click the [Demo] button to enter codes automatically)

Important information

While installing the Developer’s Kit, enter the Public Code in symbol format and other codes in hexadecimal format (shown in bold).

  • Click the [Install] button and follow the installation wizard instructions 
  • Restart the operating system after installing the software

In the process of installing the software onto your hard disk the file named NvCodes.dat will be created in the working directory of Guardant software containing the information on access codes of the dongle. This file is required for the operation of the automatic protection utilities and for dongle programming, except for remote programming utilities designated for the use by the end-users.

Important information

File NvCodes.dat is required only by the Guardant software utilities used by the developer. Neither the protected application nor any other utilities designated for the end-users need this file. Under no circumstances the NvCodes.dat file shall be disclosed to unauthorized persons or organizations.
