GrdUtil.exe utility allows for saving mask templates, dumps of dongles and lists of end-users in the internal database in Microsoft Access 2000 (*.mdb) format. The information from the database can be used at any moment for programming and update of dongle memory, including remote update.
Important information
The database mode is the main and preferred way of using GrdUtil.exe.
Each fact of writing a mask template into dongle is recorded and saved in the database as so called dump. The dumps may contain data, unique for each dongle. Therefore the dumps will be further widely used for updating dongle memory, as well as for generating statistical reports on any dump parameters.
If the database is turned off, the mask to be recorded into dongle will be loaded from *.nsd file and the programming results will not be saved. This limits the possibilities of updating and programming the dongle memory and requires more time and effort for the dongle maintenance.
