After receiving the update dump the end-user can reprogram the dongle memory using a remote update utility.
Important information
- These updates are supplied in encrypted form and can be used only once.
- During the process of generating the update data and recording them into the dongle a range of checks of dongle parameters (ID, Public Code, etc.) is performed. This eliminates the possibility of substitution of the dongle being reprogrammed.
You need to rerun the remote update utility, select Resume previously started remote update session item using the selector and click [Next >] button.
A wizard page will appear on the screen containing a field for entering and displaying the update dump. The dump is entered using one of the following buttons: [Paste] or [Browse…].
After entering the dump and clicking [Next>] the dongle memory will be updated with received data. Then, the last wizard page displaying the operation summary will appear on the screen.
Important information
The following steps are required when the dongle update is dump or mask template based. If the update is mask file based, step 3 will finalize the update.
